My experience last night at Taste Bar & Grill in Fondren was absolutely unbelievable. Never in my life have I experienced this type of treatment at a restaurant or bar. We had a reservation of 12. The atmosphere showed promise. However, the owner has a policy that says the entire group had to pay with a single credit card or cash. There was no ATM, so we had no choice but to go to Char instead. It's a shame too, because I was excited to try the truffle fries, Cajun pasta, etc. I hope they rethink their policy because it cost their establishment about $1,200.

I wanted to really like this place. The food was cold and the waiter was very immature and flatout rude!! We ordered catfish and grits, other food and cocktails. It wasn't a major complaint.. Grits looked like mashed potatoes and were unrecognizable. We wanted to send it back and the waiter responded "some people like it like that." We then asked the waiter to get the manager and he said "people always wanting something for free." The ticket was brought with a high gratuity and there were only two of us. Shameful!! My fiancé made reservations for Valentine’s Day and we arrived on time to be conveniently seated next to the foul restroom.
