Excellent 40th anniversary for Fond du Lac's Walleye Weekend. I Look forward to 40 more. Great music, food, and lots of things for the children to do. It was also very nice to start the celebration with a parade. Thank you!!
It's was so wonderful. I really enjoyed myself hopefully next year I can visit again. Thanks to the Town everyone was so nice.
I look forward to this festival every year!!!! Thank you sponsors and volunteers for making this a premier free event. It is the biggest fund raiser of the year for many non profit organizations. Music, sports and events are first rate. Something for everyone to do. Golf cart courtesy rides are available all weekend for anyone that needs them - again FREE!! Thank you FDL Festivals for all you do for our community.
I love that Fond du Lac is doing something with live music and the tents to support local charities. But it's too hard to support everything going on at walleye weekend. Why not spread it out, throughout the summer? Every Wednesday night have a big band and a different sponsor at a beer / food tent? For example, RPM sounded amazing Friday night. Very happy there was rides it was so worth paying for my kids to go on rides then standing in lines for free stuff, we were there early and still stood in line 30mins for the kid bumper boats by the time we go to the front the line was. Way longer then when we got in line. That was all we did by the kid stuff since lines are always way to long for my kids to stand and wait for which is kinda unfair you have how many beer tents but thing each for kids its a family event not a drunk fest which its become.
