I go to Carlsbad at least once a year and have always admired the flower fields from a distance. This time we decided to go in and be up close with the flowers :) Yes, it costs to go in, but I think it's something you have to do at least once if you're a frequent visitor of the city. It was an afternoon nicely spent and I got some beautiful pictures of the flowers.
The Flower Fields are the destination for an annual girls day during our Spring Break. Beauiful flowers, gorgeous weather and wonderful friendship made for an amazing day. Looking forward to our annual trip next year.
Visited the Flower Fields on Monday, April 3. Was not disappointed! It was a beautiful clear, sunny day with mild temps. Crowd was minimal. Easy parking. Enjoyed the beautiful ranunculus! I read reviews about weekend crowds and I really recommend going on a weekday.
Flowers are beautiful but it's very high priced for looking at flowers!
As beautiful as the flowers may be it is NOT acceptable to have visitors stuck in the parking lot for over an hour (an hour of NOT MOVING, cars had to be turned off situation). I'm not sure what happened on Sunday, April 2nd or if this is a regular occurrence but people were stuck in the back lot for over an hour. This is a major safety issue for everyone and with many visitors consisting of families with young children even more concerning. It was my first time in 16 years I lived here and I injoy ed myself thank you for a wonderful day
It was great, I haven't come here since my youngest was in daycare, she's a junior in high school. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will definitely come back next year. My favorite part was the sweet pea maze, we laughed and jokes with others as we kept passing each other. Most of the flowers were in bloom, the weather was great, and the ocean as a back drop once you reach the top was just beautiful.
A must see for all it's beautiful and the sweet pea maze is so much fun!!!!
