Lincoln Park bakeryFloriole is best known for its French desserts, but a surprisingly spicy mac and cheese, served for lunch only (starting at 11 a.m.), is a sleeper hit on the menu.
Good bread and nice selection of desserts. Definitely try the Basque cake. Boyfriend said it tastes like home made pound cake (doesn't sound like a compliment but then he couldn't stop munching!)
Gateau basque is the move here. Try the caneles too.
The passionfruit tart was so well executed it was perfect, but the kouign amann stole the show. So tasty. Quality was high and every single thing behind the counter looked great. Will be back.
