Aint the same. I remember this place before the expansion. I wish it was still the same but that nostalgia speaking. I have had anything good from there in a while.
The food is still great but I didn't like the self serve.
Friendly staff, food was ok, I recommend adding more flavor to the catfish, for me it was too plain

A little disappointed. Had the lunch special. Rib tips, baked beans, potato salad, and coconut pie. Rib tips were cold and slathered in sauce...not a particularly good sauce. Baked beans were hot and good tasting. Potato salad was okay...nothing to write home about. Coconut pie was not that memorable...very institutional tasting. Might go back to give second try, but not any time soon.
The chicken fried steak was mostly batter. What little meat there was was too chewey. The sliced beef had decent flavor but was dry like it was under a lamp for a long time. The bbq sauce was runny like water. Good mashed potatoes but no gravy for them. The baked beans were straight from a can. And sevice was non existent. The men's room was very unkempt bordering on nasty. I wont be coming back again. Also it wasnt very accessible for the blind due to lots of obstructions and different floor heights..
Had the small catfish plate and had enough for dinner next night. Best catfish I've had in a long time.
