We are from Portland - my husband is a native from here - he said they have the best BBQ on the lake- he was right! Food & Service 5 star plus!
The food is awesome. I was working in Livingston and ate there and have eaten there every chance i get. It is real home cooking. Love Floridas Kitchen.

Amazing food!! Southern cooking at it absolute BEST!! The Buttermilk Pie nearly busted my stomach, after a chopped meat sandwich!! Then, of course, I just HD to take home some fresh banana pudding...which almost didn't make it home!! Don't forget the onion rings...superb!!! I am here for two weeks, and I will be visiting often!!
I love the ribs ordering is odd you fix your own drink (not a lot of choices) once you order and sit a waitress brings your food and assist you from there. Casual atmosphere once seated the service is good and friendly
I tried the chicken fried steak a few years back and it wasn't good....When folks ask me about Florida's Kitchen I would tell them I went there once and it was not good and they told me to try the ribs.....Well...I tried the ribs and they were the absolute worst BBQ ribs I've ever eaten. They had a weird after tastes and looked like they were not cooked all the way.... I paid nearly $18.00 for a rib plate that included a cup of baked beans and some "OK" potato salad. The potatoes salad was awful, the backed beans come out of a can with some onions thrown in. The coleslaw was not flavorful was some kinda hot spice on it. The tea 3.00 was crazy. Got fried pickles and they were not the chips instead they were fried pickle spears.i took a bite and the entire pickle came out. Took forever to get out food.
A-1 service my 3 daughters where treated excellent. They got to color and place there pics on the wall. It was my wifes 1st time and when she got her food she said "theres no way". Every staff member there greets u as soon as u cut the corner of the entrance. Worth the 40 minute drive anyday i strongly recommend it if u have not tried it.
