Came in to the urgent care last night a little while prior to them closing. The Nurse practitioner Luis Amat didn't listen to a word I said. I stated I was lightheaded, nauseous and had shakes. Aswell told him I thought an energy drink I had reacted with a medication I was taking. He put im on blood pressure meds and schizophrenic. Also that my meds made me hyperactive? I had an amazing experience today at the Zephyrhills Urgent Care. I was greeted by Ashley who promptly entered my information in a friendly professional manner. Kathleen was excellent during admission and check out. The first nurse was friendly and kind while gathering my information and taking my vitals. Dr. Barca’s made a through examination with an accurate diagnosis. Nurse Jennifer gave my ears a complete irrigation where she was kind and understanding of my painful ear. Front desk was very nice. I came in with severe case of hives. PBR Luis Amat came in and had a mask on which was fine. He explained medications he wanted to prescribe. The nurse came in and gave me an injection. I waited for 30 min per instructions to make sure steroid was ok. During that time I recd text from pharmacy showing prescriptions one of which I was not familiar with so I asked nurse what it was for and she said she had to look at my chart. Arrived at 5 with daughter who fell in severe pain. Explained over and again she could not ambulate nor stand. They gave us the run around for hours, staff was cold and seemed to be bothered we were there. We waited for hours to finally get back and they tell us they cannot xray her bc she cannot stand. They knew the whole time she could not stand and told us when they were about to close and after sitting there for almost 3 hours. Said to just go to ER! Completely unprofessional.
