My first time was initially not pleasant, as I am claustrophobic, so I left the lid to the pod open, but before the hour was up I was able to close it and felt fine. Now I usually fall asleep with it closed. It is very relaxing and I learned how important sensory deprivation is to our health. The place is spotless, quiet and peaceful; and the staff are extremely helpful, informative and do everything to make your experience the best. I am going again next week!
I had a great float yesterday! I'm thinking I may sign up for the monthly membership :) the float experience is so relaxing and really helps me with anxiety both during and after a float. But seriously you guys, what kind of shampoo and conditioner is that? It smells awesome! I'm sure it's something that's sold in bulk and I could use a big tub of that stuff at home!
I had a really great experience! The staff was really nice, and it was very calm and soothing from the moment I walked in the door! They supply you with ointment for your cuts, earplugs, 2 towels, and 2 rags. They explained everything to me before and was very helpful. Loved the bathroom, they had it very clean and organized. They supply a hair dryer, straightner, hair spray, heat protectant, spray deodorant, makeup remover, contact solution, and even some spare tampons for us females! It was amazing!! My first time floating was perfect. The staff, the facility, the atmosphere, everything was better than I could have hoped for! I HIGHLY recommend this.

My first experience was everything I hoped it would be! It was calm, and relaxing. The facility was spotless, clean and serene. The staff were helpful and enthusiastic and really focused on this being what I wanted it to be and not imposing their ideas on it. The float itself was weird at first, I wondered if I was going to make it the entire hour. I focused on my breathing. I did no music or light.
