The Flats is in a really nice location in the Shady Grove/Rockville area, and the apartments are by far the cheapest in the area. Compared to prices in the neighboring apartment communities, you will probably pay anywhere from $500-1000 less than you would for a comparable unit. However, you get what you pay for. These are not "luxury apartments" by any means, like the apartments you will find in the surrounding communities. Affordable apartments in a great location. This is a renovated old hotel, and currently the outside of the apartments have a dumpy, old hotel look. They are painting and renovating the exterior, so hopefully they will look ok soon. The apartments themselves are nice, minus the fact that there are no screens for windows and there are flies all over the place. I love my apartment. it is cosy, the price is affordable for this location. the property manager and her team goes above and beyond for tenants satisfaction. the maintenance team as well makes sure that every request is history fast. Good place to live for working professionals.
So far a great place to live, very quiet area, friendly residents and great amenities. Very nice staff and great service and great maintenance team. Had damaged refrigerator replaced the first day I moved in with a new one, thanks. Very efficient with everything so far! Hopefully keep up the great work. Highly recommend!
This is one of the best new apartment home communities in the heart of Rockville. At the Flats is all about the living experience, the management and staff goes out of their way to ensure your move in experience is flawless and once in that you feel happy in your new home. Transportation ease are among the best with 1-270/370 easily accessible and commuting in the metro is a breeze with Shady Grove metro nearby. Rosaline Bangura and her team have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. She cared about everthing I was concerned about (due to allergies) and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We are very impressed.

Flats at Shady Grove the people in the office don't know what they doing you ask him a question they don't know. I'm trying to find out who's the manager of this place cuz it's a mess they move people in and apartments of mess you don't even have your apartment number
