We love living at The Pointe We have just renewed our lease for a second year because we love living here. Initially we thought it was expensive but we love the facilities, the pool is amazing and because it’s heated it’s great even on not so sunny days, the clubhouse is great I pop in for coffee (free)and to do my printing (free) and there’s a (free)fruit trolley compliments of a great local store. There’s a small library of books (free) and lots of games ( free) there’s even a games night once a month .There is a huge scre... read more

Loved living at the Pointe! We called The Pointe home for nearly three years and truly enjoyed the experience! Starting out in a one bedroom then upgrading to a two bedroom, there was plenty of room to cook, relax, and entertain. The amenities were awesome as we used the outdoor grill and fire places year round, as well as hosted a large gathering in the Clubhouse. Resident appreciation activities and food truck Tuesdays are a great way of mingling with neighbors. Heather and Christine were unbelievably helpful in the manage... read more

Location and amenities I am renewing my lease here for a second year. The location is great for me since I travel a lot for work so it is less than a 15 minute uber to the airport. I like that it is somewhat rural but also close to groceries, pharmacy, coffee, good food and shopping. I am not a city person. I use the gym regularly and they have a good amount of different events. I don't use the pool too much but it is really nice in the summer. I actually use the car vacuum all year and the grills for cooking. The staff has ... read more

Dangerous! I only moved here three days ago and my neighbor has had the police called on him everyday for screaming obscenities and making threatening remarks! I asked the leasing office and they admitted to knowing about it for weeks before I signed my lease and are in the “process” of eviction which they say could take months! I have young children and feel incredibly afraid and unsafe!

Business response:

We do apologize for this incident and we are working towards a solution as we speak. Your unease is understandable and we can assure you that safety is our number one concern when it comes to our residents. If you feel you need to discuss this further, please contact our team at (860) 408-1555 or visit us in the office. Thank you. - The Pointe at Dorset Crossing Team

Craphole Upon moving into my apartment my closet door was covered in brown stains, stove burner wasn’t connected at all just placed where it should go, the heater in the kitchen was disconnected and broken. It took them three months to fix just these problems, let’s not forget that during winter they send there plows out at 10-11pm and during summer the lanscaping crew will be right under your window at 8:30-9 am this wouldn’t be too bad if the brick foundation of the place kept any sound out at all, however it does not. The... read more

They suck They say free cable, that was a lie, people hit your vechical in the parking lot where you're lucky to get a parking spot, if not they tow your car, even if you live there. Then give you a electric bill for a hundred and two dollars, then turn around and recalculates it to six hundred dollars in two months I wasn't even in the apartment. Their renting out efficiencies calling them apartments. Go ahead and get ripped off if you want to, their good at it. The lady at front desk looks like she goes with the rooms. Unb... read more

Be Advised We signed a short term lease and we were relieved to be leaving due to very poor noise insulation. We heard our neighbors to the side and below continually. Nice and clean but happy to leave.

Smoke and Mirrors Prestigious luxuryis far from the truth. Although it is a decent place to live, it's not at all what it appears to be. The only thing close by is the airport. You will find out soon enough if you live here because the flight path is directly over the complex. The appliances, even if they are "stainless steel" are bottom line. The granite is of the lowest grade. Parking is horrible. Absolutely nothing is included in the overpriced rent that you pay. You'll have to pay for water, electric, trash, etc. The bes... read more

not exactly as it seems Ive lived here for a few weeks now and here are my initial impressions...the staff is friendly and helpful and the location is pretty good. Close to restaurants and stores but not to busy. The exercise equipment is pretty good. The apartment sorta remind me of a fake Rolex watch. Looks good until you figure out what you got. The stainless appliances are the cheapest quality possible and barely work well. The granite counters have rough edges and nearly cut your hands. Cheap floors that look okay. The ... read more
