Wisdom Tooth Removal I am 25 years old and found out earlier this year that I would have to have my wisdom teeth pulled. I was not looking forward to it because I have heard horror stories from other people. The oral surgeon my dentist referred me to was not covered by my insurance so I had to find someone on my own. DENISE FLANAGAN I made an appointment with Dr. Flanagan in June on 2007. I had 2 back jaw teeth that had cracked down to the gums. I knew this would require oral surgery and I was terrified. I finally go up enough courage to consider going to the dentist and found Dr. Flanagan's office. I called and made the appointment. I was nervous and anxious up on my visit. She's patient, soothing, and a great dentist.
This is a great practice! My kids have had their wisdom teeth removed here and each one has had a very positive experience. As a parent I found each person to be highly professional, kind, humor when needed, skilled and efficient
Dr. Flanagan is wonderful, but her office manager and billing department are not. I was provided a written estimate that was SIGNIFICANTLY less than what was actually charged. They told me my insurance would pay 40%, but when my EOB arrived, it showed the carrier only paid 10% leaving me with a large bill. I expect a billing specialist to be familiar with dental plans, and if they aren’t, at the very least, call to get a pre-authorization.
She is a super oral surgeon. Very courteous and kind. Best thing is she did such a great job that I experienced VERY LITTLE pain after the procedure of 2 teeth extracted. I have been to another surgeon before, but she tops that one.
My son had his wisdom teeth pulled. I am a single mother of 3. I attempted several times to contact the office to make a payment plan. I received no response. The Dr. then hired a lawyer who sent a police officer after my son while riding his bike to summons him to court. EVERY other office I have worked with has been terrific about payment plans...not this one.
Extraction of all 4 wisdom teeth. The administrative staff was very helpful and made multiple calls on my behalf to my insurance provider to work out the payment. The procedure was rather quick. I had no bruising, minimal swelling and no excessive bleeding. The pain wasn't all that bad, nothing that the prescribed meds couldn't handle for the following week or so. Flanagan removed my wisdom teeth this past summer. I was very happy with the procedure until it came time to settle the bill. I got one bill, paid it immediately then started receiving letters from a law firm trying to collect debts for the procedure. Apparently my bill got sent to them before it ever got sent to me and now I'm supposedly responsible for the $250 attorney fee. I am still fighting the law firm and the office. They will tell me things over the phone but they refuse to put them in writing so they can bail on wh... read more
