If romance is on the agenda, head up into the hills to the Flagstaff House for a dining experience like no other. Built in 1929 as a retreat cabin, the spot resides on the side of the eponymous mountain and it overlooks Boulder and the surrounding foothills. The dining area is the epitome of sophistication and mountain elegance, highlighted by a greenhouse-like glass dining pavilion that provides stunning views. The main courses include offerings such as grilled Alaskan King Salmon and Buffalo Filet Mignon. One other side no... read more

Great experience Everyone has to go to Flagstaff House at least once in their life. It's unlike any restaurant you will ever go to. The food is exceptional, the views are unsurpassed and it's just a unique setting nestled in the Flatirons above Boulder. It's wonderful.
The Best Are you kidding me - Deen only gave this place 3 stars! This is definitely 5 stars. The view is one thing, but most people go here for the cuisine and the fine wine list. I realize the price is skyhigh for Colorado, but its well worth it. To find something comparable, you can add a $500 flight to the price.
Great view The view from the flagstaff is probably the best view in Boulder. The food is alright- they serve a lot of local Rocky Mountain type food elk, rabbit ect. The chief uses a lot of Mediterranean and French type spices and cooking flavors so it is kind of confusing, strong and strange flavors mingled. Amazing food and the views are breathtaking! The food, the service and the view were all incredible. We waited a bit for out food after we ordered but it was well worth the wait. It is a bit pricey and they have a dress code which makes it a good choice for a special celebration.
Top of the World! This restaurant has a amazing views of the entire front range. The food is unique and every meal I have had here has been absolutely delicious! This is an upscale restaurant and the pricing is in line.
a must This Resturant is located litteraly on the side of the Flatirons. Menus change regularly with the seasons. This is a very pricey resturant, but for the loaction it is well worth it!
Always a phenomenal tasting menu accompanied by a great view. Wine pairings are always on par and menu is creative and seasonal.
