Saved My Dress – I took my white dress to another cleaners and they turned it gray. Five Star saved my dress and did so without using dirty nasty chemicals. They were very knowledgeable in explaining the whole thing to me. Much appreciated!
AWESOME! – I wanted an environmentally friendly cleaners, and I got so much more. The owners have gotten to know me and my children by just chatting at the counter over the years. They always remember my name, and know my preferences for cleaning and pressing by heart. I routinely drop food on myself or splash oil when I'm cooking and I trust them completely to remove the stains and I get my clothes back looking as good as possible. AVOID at all costs – if you value your clothes, your time, your money, and if you consider good business practices to the standard of operation...then DO NOT go to Five Star Cleaners or Sparkle Cleaners on NE 6th (which is owned by the same people). My experience with them was one of the most frustrating and enraging I have ever had. They ruined a treasured piece of clothing and, long story short, it took me almost six months to get the issue "resolved". Avoid at all costs – Brides beware - 5 Star Cleaners PDXI wanted to forewarn anyone thinking of using these "cleaners". My wedding dress (in the original garment bag) was sent off to 5 star cleaners with about 100 other items after a small, but very smokey fire in our home. This company was instructed to only clean the wedding gown and 4-5 items (due to chemical smell sensitivity and insurance approval) the 4-5 items came back but the cleaning process wasn't going to work out.
