Incredible Customer Service, best place to eat in Detroit – Me and my wife went downtown on 8/20/07 and it was incredibly busy. We made reservations and were escorted to our seats as soon as we walked in. There was also a wait to be seated for patrons that just had walked in. Our server (I believe her name was Lindsey) was incredible jovial and informed us on everything we've asked and even suggested the soup of the day which was outstanding. We were extremely impressed with the customer service, because even though it was b... read more
Good Choice – Thank You Fishbones - for accomodating us and adverting a disaster Everyone enjoyed the food and service Thanks -------------- Read Below To Whom it may Concern, We booked reservations at "THEY SAY" restaurant on approx. July 16th for a party of ten. On July 28th we called back and confirmed and increased our head count to 16. We arrived for our 4:30 reservation at 4:10. And was informed that there was no reservation for us. Our party of 16 was informed that we could be served on the patio, which was in the swe... read more
Please Beware, Poor Service and Very Unsanitary – My husband and I are Tiger Season Ticket holders and because of the resturant's great location we frequent this place quite a bit. However, twice we have had terrible experiences with the poor staff work ethics. Our latest experience was on 4/21/07 when my husband and I placed ourselves at the bar side closest to the water fall. I ordered a glass of water and a slice of cheese cake with strawberry dressing. After thirty minutes I asked the bartender (Cherry) if she could canc... read more
Great Date spot – A great mix of cujun spices and atmosphere. Always a top pick with me and my sweetheart, it's just a 2 min walk to one of Detroits Casinos and lots of hoppin clubs and bars. Prices are reasonable but sometimes there is a long wait and service can be a little sluggish. But if your in no huury and just want to go out for a great night on the town I highly reccommend Fishbones in Detroit.
Good Cajun Food – I have been to Fishbones several time. I definately like the downtown Detroit location better than their other locations. If you like cajun, this is a pretty decent place to get cajun food. I love their popcorn alligator...it's so good. Overall, I think the food is good.
Food does not make up for the bad service – Too many things are going on downtown and service pays for it. Fishbones has food potential but our server had the worse attitude-and everyone at the table knew it. She explained she had to work after the baseball game which was after 11 that night. After putting up with her slamming our plates down with hot food, lying to us about when the sushi bar closes, and nasty facial expression-I had enough and went to the manager. What is sad is that the food didnt make up for the poor ser... read more
Cool jazz and Cajun spice bring the French Quarter to the Motor City. – In Short The sound of jazz resonates as the smell of Cajun spices seduces incoming diners. The food is straight out of the French Quarter, as catfish atchafalaya, snapper beausoleil, alligator voodoo and Bayou caviar bring Louisiana flavor to Michigan. Fishbone's uses a milder, more flavorful blend of spices and herbs during the blackening process, but hot sauces are available to please those in search of heat.
Awesome food, good times, crappy service – I LOVE Fishbones... probably my favorite restaurant in Detroit. Great sushi! Horrible waitstaff.
Hmm...mm.. Good – this restaurant is hip, kool and has a very good vibe. the staff is friendly, service is excellent and the good is GOOD. Big Portions at an afforadable price. Good place for parties or corporate events.
