Service was really good. My sashimi and sushi tasted fresh enough. Cool ambiance. It's located in a row of Eagle Rock trendy shops. Inside seemed kinda small, modern looking. But they don't use the right kind of rice. For the area, this does the job if you aren't willing to go to Pasadena or other places in SGV or LT. Probably wouldn't return, unless I was in the area.
Without being mistaken as bragging, I love Japanese food and have been to a substantial number of restaurants I was disappointed 😥 with their tempura which was heavily breaded and their sushi/sashimi pales in authenticity. I was hoping I would have a Japanese restaurant that would live up to the cuisine
It's a very original place in terms of Japanese atmosphere. The sushi was very tasty, freshly made as I could watch, and staff was friendly. A define recommendation even if it seems inconspicuous at first.
