I was denied an account because my 800 credit score, zero debt, owning my house, and healthy income made me a "risk". Digging in, I find out that an old account from 10 years ago drove the decision. Additionally they loosely admitted that my use case for a bank (holding money) was not going to generate enough fees for them (I called them out on the coded speak, they just tow that line).
