Worst bank ever. I would NEVER recommend this bank to anyone, ever. I opened up a credit card for the 0 transfer balance fee. Just opening the account was very scarce in communication. It took a long time for the card to even get to me. Like three or four weeks. They have an antiquated website. You have to transfer funds from your personal bank account into the account you open with them. That takes one to two business days, then you transfer that to make your credit card payment. Their website is horrible and gives you many errors and crashes. First tech use be a great credit union I've been a member since **** and was fairly happy with them. I've had a savings and checking accounts, had a car loan, and HELOC as well as *** accounts but over the past few years they have been a huge disappointment and source of frustration between cutting services such as having a drive thru teller to canceling debt cards due to security breaches and giving no notice other than your card not working as well as overall incompetence from employees and a zoro customer service. Beware of their business 'practices'. First Tech Federal Credit Union starts by sending me this pre-approved Choices Rewards World Mastercard offer, numerous times. After the third letter, I decided to apply. Now, they ended up denying me after putting a hard inquiry on my Experian credit report. We have had our mortgage with First Tech for at least 15 years. Over that time, there have been 3 or 4 instances of the mortgage amount due changing, which is understandable. We typically receive a letter, I change the amount to autopay from our bank, and on we go. We have never missed a payment based on our negligence because our payments have always been autopay. I applied for mortgage credit to First Tech. They declined my application on the basis that my green card is expired (and therefore, they must be claiming I'm an illegal too.). I have a conditional green card through my partner.I believe their decision somewhat baseless.My green card itself is expired, 8 months ago. I attempt to open an account with this credit union. I should have took note of the negative reviews before following through. I applied for an account and after receiving no updates for about one week or emails I called the bank. One week later I received an email asking me to scan my personal information and send it back. I did so, and another week went by so I called to get an update and was told they had a back log of applications and it's taking weeks to get back to customers. Had a line of credit and other accounts for years, after calling and getting through the 30min of automation to talk with a human I paid off my account in full and was very clear about ensuring that no further charges or fee's will be applied and the account will sit a zero$ until I perform a purchase in the future.
