First Team Hampton Chevrolet Good afternoon. This is a public service announcement for your service department. I went in for service today (5/8/26) and everything went well on the service side I got an oil change and state inspection but at the end we had a problem. The service writers asked me if I wanted my tires rotated. I have a Chevrolet camaro SS. You can not rotate the tires on a camaro SS or ZL1. They shouldn't have been asking me this question. I have ONLY used First Team since 2021 for my Chevy. Today they lost my business forever. Brought the car in for suspected dead battery. They diagnose, say maybe it's the battery but we won't know for sure until we replace it, which will be $400. I can do it myself for half that so I said no thanks. Then they tell me they rolled the window down and now it won't go back up. It worked fine yesterday and worked fine when I dropped it off. I had a very frustrating experience with the service department at First Team Hampton Chevrolet. I scheduled an appointment for 11:00 AM, expecting a reasonable turnaround time for an oil change and tire rotation. Instead, I ended up sitting there for four hours. That completely defeats the purpose of making an appointment in the first place. To make matters worse, the service team tried to upsell multiple services that were clearly unnecessary. When dealing with the Collision Center be prepared for frustration. They simply refuse to answer their phone. I had to schedule my repair appointment through the Service department who were very helpful.
