First State Building and Design was recommended to us by two neighbors who were very happy with their work. My husband and I had our old deck torn down, and a new, bigger deck put up in its place as well as 14 large floor to ceiling windows in our sunroom and in the basement area below the sunroom. We were very pleased with FSBD. They demolished our old wooden deck and back stairs and built brand new ones using Timbertech. They also installed a new patio. The consultation and design process was excellent, with Eli providing options and paying close attention to our "vision" for the project. The handoff to Eric, the overall project manager, was seamless. The fireplace is even more stunning in person. It’s achieving my main objective of warming up the great room! We can get nice and toasty watching TV, hanging out or playing games ect and not have to have the heater running throughout the whole house while having nice, cool bedrooms for sleeping. Kalee was the best to work with. Knowledgeable, very patient. I knew what I wanted, but I just didn’t know where to go. I have mixed reviews. we LOVED Tony, who was part of sales and made us feel comfortable and helped speak up on our behalf. We also LOVED Martin who knows everything there is to know about pools and pool maintenance, and probably a million other things. the entire process took a very long time but was in the middle of the extremely rainy spring/summer that we had.
