I would give zero stars if possible. This company preys on young college students, pressure to sign an unfair lease as early as possible and charge money every chance they get. The lease is completely LL favorable and consider not paying the last month's rent - you will not get the security deposit back as they will make up any charge possible to keep it all and argue endlessly to not give it back. DO NOT RENT FROM FIRST PLACE PROPERTIES You will severely regret it. The individuals who work at First Place Properties are rude, cruel, and disrespectful. They are unfriendly and passive aggressive. My roommates and I have frequently communicated with Aimee and Journey about maintenance issues and fees and every interaction has been unpleasant. First Place Property units are not well-maintained. This business is extremely fraudulent and unethical. The we have actually had to seek legal help to dispute charges that go against the contract and lease they provided. They have also sent us to claims 8 days earlier than their deadline set and it is actually for an incorrect amount that exceeds the “owed amount”. Extremely untrustworthy business. First PLace Properties is the MOST UNPROFESSIONALLY run company I have ever experienced. They are emotionally abusive to their young tenents, they create Fake Padded invoices and REFUSE TO PROVIDE BACK UP DOCUMENTATION/AND OR RECEIPTS FOR on their fictitious invoices, they charge excessive "admin" fees for NO admin work. The list of torment our child and her roomates have gone through is endless. BUYER BEWARE!!!

We ran into several problems with this company. My son and his roommates planned to move in 8/1/2020 per their communications with First Place Properties. As the date neared (the week before) and they worked to plan their move, they were given the run around on the date they were permitted to arrive. They were stuck in limbo for days while they waited for the company to confirm their move in date. Terrible business, they have zero concern for the residents. No maintenance, leaky doors and windows, so the power bill would surpass 300 dollars a month during the winter and summer. When confronted they would claim that there was nothing that they could do. The properties are too old, infested with bugs and squirrels. DO NOT EXPECT TO GET YOUR REFUND BACK, unless you take legal action. These people should not be in the business of providing housing for college students. You've been warned, do NOT rent from these people.

I am sorry you feel this way, and due to COVID (the current pandemic) during the later part of your stay, we had certain restrictions which we had to abide by. We enjoyed having your children (you weren't on the lease) as our residents. Their full refunds were mailed out. The lease holders can contact the office with any questions.
So I really like this property....Ryan my maintenance guy os awesome. He explained everything that needed to be done...walked me thru it and then validated that the work was done right. He also fixed things I didnt notice. I really appreciate the level of concern and respect I'm given as a tenant. I was even late for rent my first month because of identity theft and after communicating my problem they worked with me and let me resolve it. From the leading agent down I am a satisfied tenant.
Slumlords. They don't maintain their places. The place was disgusting when we moved in and when we moved out, after we cleaned the place as well as we could (given it is a pit!), they took our security deposit. Scumbag slumlords. Steer clear. (I couldn't give zero stars)
This is by far the worst housing company in Lexington. I've lived in the same unit for two years now with First Place Properties and they are horrible. Our house had mold for about 6 months before they came and fixed it. We had to get the Housing Code to come and complain to them because they wouldn't fix our problem after we called almost everyday for 6 months. They are rude and disrespectful.
