I've had them a few years now. I am not always in Iowa, but they aren't beaucratic and they don't seem to allow you to overdraft, either. My card simply doesn't work if there's no balance. I also needed a savings account, but they recommended having two bank accounts and toggling between them for savings and checking at no cost or penalty. I've gone in twice with questions about setting up an account and they were understanding and willing to help me out!
This is a great local bank with a good service. That's all you need for a college student.
