UCC Violations – They Still Have My Car After a Year! My experience with First Financial of Charleston has been nothing short of a nightmare. They repossessed my 2015 Audi in July 2024, and here we are in October 2025 — the car still hasn’t been sold! Under UCC § 9-610, lenders must dispose of repossessed property in a commercially reasonable time and credit the proceeds to the borrower’s account.
