In a word...Incompetent! The owner/manager Alice Woods. is completely incompetent and clueless! Repairs take forever to get accomplished if ever and the list goes on... Steer clear, as she will surely and quite naturally guide and flush your organization down the toilet, ultimately at the expense of every homeowner. Hands down...this company is THE train wreck of train wrecks!

The various reviews appearing here are accurate. One of the worst management companies out there. Completely incompetent. Can't be trusted. Scale 1-10...a -10. Stay away!

Without a doubt, the absolute worst on every level! If you hear the name Alice Woods, run. Incompetent is the highest compliment she gets. She is a glorified accountant with zero people skills, and constantly needs to be reminded who works for who. Her old school, ancient ways of doing things is an embarrassment. Takes forever to get anything fixed, and thinks she runs the Board. Rumors have been circulating from various properties that money has gone missing, and it all points directly back to her.

We previously used First Columbia, but we changed and moved to Valley Financial in Granada Hills, and couldn't be happier. If you're looking for good HOA management with a strong emphasis on delinquencies, I'd take them any day. Too many problems with First Columbia.

the worst and you will be nuts with alice woods – if you want a person alice woods not understanding anything about the needs of the board or it owners and nothing about buildings and only is a 5 on paying the bills and only cares of getting any items of her list as slow as can be or is so fast in not getting most things done correct the first time and does not let the owner or a board member talk the truth as she will go around it and never get the answer and most of the time does not care about the units owners as a person... read more

HORRIBLE – I always have a horrible experience at this office. People are extremely rude and do not give good service. They will wish you the worst when it comes to assisting you with your home. My bank is taking my home to foreclosure and First Columbia is just laughing at me like animals. BEWARE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THE WORST...

High Marks – I have been an insurance agent for over 34 years. First Columbia Management is very good to their clients and fair with their vendors. I hate to see them get a bad rap. I can't think of a better management company.

Terrible – The primary problem is its reresentative to the Tarzana Tennis Townhomes in which I own a unit. Her name is Alice Woods who works for Columbia Management. She speaks out of turn and yells and barks at people at the association meetings. She cannot answer simple questions; Nor did she respond to the letter I sent to her office over 3 years ago regarding a sattelite dish issue she claimed was not done to code.Even though it was the employee under her who approved what was being done. Horrible Service Insensitive office staff, incompetent staff as well Sends condos into the ground. – This company has repeatedly failed to refund consumers who suffer loses due to there negligence. They fail to make repairs Properly, or to code. They make improper repairs which cause damage and personal injury to visitors, and to tenants. they ignore repeated reports of violations allowing tenants to abuse the property. they overcharge consumers on there HOA bills.
