Firehouse used to be my favourite place to get sandwiches! My steak and cheese melt when first looking at it felt like we were rationing for the war. I got a medium steak and cheese and a hook and ladder and somehow, yet being considerably more expensive the steak and cheese was half the size of my hook and ladder. How can you charge me $20 for a sandwich that I finish in 30 seconds, used to barely be able to finish them. Ridiculous!
I absolutely love the subs here. On the high end for cost but you get what you pay for. Very good!
I asked specifically for no pickles on MY sub and for pickles on my partners sub, so was really annoyed when they got it backwards after me and the guy at the counter both double checked. They did the same with mushrooms, mine shouldn’t have had it and my partners should have but they did the opposite. I used to be ok paying extra for a premium sandwich but that was worst the subway which says a lot. The bread was soggy and most of the lettuce was what should have been cut off. I ordered an item from Skip the dishes and someone from this restaurant called me in confusion, asking me why I ordered 2 items with 2 drivers. I only ordered 1 item for myself. This person barely spoke english and sounded annoyed at me, then proceeded to hang up on me. I don't recommend going here.
