The Firehouse Brewing Company has been crafting beer in South Dakota for 25 years - making us the oldest operating brewery in the state. Our building is one of Rapid City's most unique and interesting landmarks. Housed in the original Rapid City fire station, a structure built in 1915, it is listed on the National Historic Register. Our bar is adorned with authentic South Dakota firefighting memorabilia from the days of Rapid City's first fire brigades - including the original fire pole, ladders, patches and more. I was so excited to try this place while on vacation. The food was not great. My steak was undercooked at first and when I finally got it..it was so tough and tasteless I didn't even eat it. My son's cheeseburger was so was charred on the outside it tasted horrible. The bread they started us with was great and the waitress was really nice and the environment was awesome.
...would change to - 5 Star "WE loved it". We were greeted by a wonderful server named Sierra. She had an amazing smile and was so energetic. This was our first visit to the Firehouse Brewing Company. Sierra walked us through the different types of beers they brew to find each of us the perfect choice of beer to match our individual tastes. They offered a wide range of food choices from appetizers, to main courses, and last but not least, dessert. We shared the Tuaca Tiramisu and the Caramel Bread Pudding. Both were a perfec... read more
Tristen was a great waitress! The food was good, the beer even better!
I've always loved the variety of foods offered, especially the chicken nachos. I'm sad to say that the nachos are now very different than they used to be: BBQ chicken, some beans, a salad on top and an odd "cheese." I have no idea why they would change such a popular dish. Leave this one on the menu as an alternative, but please bring back the old one!!
Let's see the food came out warm not even that. And it was if the food was already cooked and put in a microwave then sent out. I had the pasta and it was rather dry and unpleasant. My husband had pork with Mac n Cheese and green beans and he was not please at all. I'd say the food is way over priced and cold when it comes out. Kristen was our server and she was right on point so I gave this a 3 star rating because of her. To be honest I won't be back to eat here I'm rather disappointed.
We just sat there for 10 minutes. 3 waiters walked past us and not one talked to us,didn't even ask what we wanted to drink. We were celebrating 11 years married. Will never return again!
Not great beer, I had the IPA and it was below average, IMHO... My wife had a burger, also unremarkable.. But the location and ambiance is pretty cool....I did not try any other beers, so a pretty narrow report..
We have been coming here for years....tonight the quality of food plummeted while the prices remain high. Fish & chips was my favorite go-to....not anymore. I could buy frozen fish and cook at home of same quality and a lot cheaper. Feeling sad.
Great service, food was excellent, especially the fire caps! Gorgonzola soup was fabulous! ESB was ok, second beer was the English pale and was much better! Well done!
