Cool spot. Loved the vibe, and wood fire smell that permeated the atmosphere. We ordered the wings and Ahi tuna apps. Enjoyed those. Cajun Ribeye/mash and Steak Penni entrées. Pretty good. The creme brulee cheese cake was the star of the evening. Excellent! I can't say I enjoyed the drinks I tried. The manager on duty was nice enough to remove them from our check. Our server was very nice, but a little slow. Nonetheless, still a decent experience overall.
So... it started out great then downhill we went. Let me say, the waiter was very nice, however... I asked for no sour cream on my baked potato and I ended up getting one with it. No big deal, it happens. But when I mentioned it, he literally with his hands took it off my plate and touched my steak. I would have happily put it on my bread plate and given it back to him. Ribs as close to Tony Roma’s as I’ve eaten. They have a new GM, Holly Horgan, looks like she runs a tight ship. We’ll see! Firebirds is a great place when your looking for something a bit more classy than the norm in Plano, but not over priced like Eddie V’s! EDit: Went there for ribs 4/19/26. Joshua Parker was our server. Can't say enough about this young man, very attentive, great sense of humor, awesome attitude. These are all great qualities for a server. Our waitress was great until it got busier, then not so much. Food was excellent. Will be back for the 3 course meal. It's perfect for 2 to split.
