Forgetable, but good! – I never think about going to Firebirds, even though its right down the street, and thats a shame. The atmosphere is very Colorado Ski Lodge-ish and the food is good. The french dip's au juis is too salty...that's my only complaint. The meatloaf is yummy! Service is good and pricing is reasonable.
Great food, great value – If you are looking for great place with mid-high prices this is it. While it is not cheap it is only slightly more than the popular casual dinning chains. The steaks are very good, especially the chili rubbed delmonico, and the house salad is the very best. My wife and 5 year old daughter love it as well as I do. a different sort of steakhouse – Firebirds takes the warmth of a rocky mountain ski lodge and combines it with novel food additions to create a fun new experience in Memphis. Additions like buffalo add a lean and different steak and burger choice and even their salads are commendable. Excellent service and golden lighting make this a fine date destination. Overall, I recommend Firebirds for those looking for the steak experience without the stuffiness.
The Best Anywhere – Their burgers raise the bar of quality. The buns don't fall apart which is a real bonus when there is a large burger( 10 oz. before cooking) with great toppings. Sides are great and the fries are the best I've ever had.
