I started working with one of their therapists last year, and after giving him my background in substance abuse, as he was a substance abuse specialist, he said at one point in our conversation "I'm not your friend" and was very unfriendly with me every appointment we had. I would often greet him with a smile and ask him how he was doing and he would respond with a neutral face and barely respond to me. He often made me feel like I was bothering him and wasting his time every time I met with him. Even when I would share abou... read more
This is my very honest review on fig tree therapy. Booking with them was always a breeze, I never really had any kind of mishaps or anything I needed to worry about in regards to my appointments. I ended up choosing to meet with Bo, and I can say that this was probably one of the best investments I ever made in my mental health. As a woman, I knew that I wanted to learn how to be a little bit more logical in my walk with Christ and in regards to dealing with my emotions. Bo would give me homework, he would back up everything... read more
The impact that Fig Tree Therapist and CEO Tina Motley has had on my life is immeasurable. God has used her as an instrument to bring about major change in my life. After over 26 years of getting assistance from many counselors to help with addictions, deep hurt and anger, I met Tina. She was the safe and trusted place I needed to begin healing from great hurt and to take full responsibility for my actions that needed to cha... read more
Impatient, unhelpful, and unkind :( Edit: I see Tina’s response, but what a flat apology. Barely bothering to read my responses and blowing me off for a month is not reaching out to help me. Neither is straight up telling me to go elsewhere. I would have liked an apology for her behavior. I reached out for help finding a female Christian counselor who does EMDR work. Specifically I asked for someone who: A) has more experience, B) does in-person sessions, and C) takes my insurance. Tina, the CEO and the one doing the sched... read more
Choosing Fig Tree Therapy and working with Elizabeth has undoubtedly been one of the best decisions I’ve made towards healing and self-discovery. I was intimidated by the idea of therapy and finding a therapist that was the right fit- Fig Tree welcomed me warmly and I felt very comfortable throughout the entire process of connecting with Elizabeth. Working with Elizabeth has changed my life for the better. She is wonderful for so many reasons: she is punctual and respectful of my time, she provided practical tools to manage ... read more
