Fife Auto Repair performed a "Buyer's Inspection" on a 1987 Dolphin Class A motorhome I was in the process of purchasing from Emerald RV of Fife in March 2009. I bought the RV with their safety approval and with a brake repair, they recommended, which totaled approx. $6100. I drove it home to Everett, WA and later noticed an exhaust leak smell, which they confirmed, when I later called them. Five days later, while turning the ignition, fire erupted from the engine, which engulfed the RV interior, totaling the motorhome. The fire marshall inspection report indicated there was no oil in the engine and the air filter compartment contained about three inches of fuel. I later told Fife Auto Repair of this horrific event and asked for their insurance company. The owner told me to stop harrassing them or he would sue me, then hung up on me. All I wanted was help with buying the motorhome and they told me later that the engine was not even inspected. After the fire incident, I wanted help in determining the cause and all I received was a threat.
