Great for the family This museum provides a great and entertaining forum to learn about history. There are dinosaur bones and other artifacts from history. Additionally it is right by the lake and Soldier Field, Home of the Chicago Bears.
the best If you think about getting to this museum only to have an educational day with your kids- you'll be surprised. The museum has many features interesting to every age, and there are many interesting things I discovered every time I went to this museum. And with so many special exhibitions year round, there is always something new to see here. PROS: very large, lots of great things to discover, for any age CONS: too large, you'll need to come back at least one more time...

Great Museum for Kids The best time to go to this museum is during a weekday. Take your kids out of school so they know it's a special day and show them the fun sights at this museum. They have "Sue" the dinosaur exhibit as well as other exhibits on different cultures including Pacific Islander, African and Japanese. I thoroughly enjoyed the PI exhibit and spent at least an hour there just looking at the plant life, clothes and elaborately set up exhibits that gives you a great view into how it all comes together. Museum If you want to take your kids somewhere and have it be educational this is the place for you. There are plenty of artifacts and exhibits to go around here. The price is not bad at all, but on one certain day, I think Tuesdays, admission is free. They would prefer a small donation on that day though.
