Awesome Museum Awesome museum great. So many valuable historical things will be their. Everyone must visit this you can have great time.
We had such a nice time. We had such a nice time. We were in there for over four hours and I wasn't aware the time moving so quickly. The girl was very knowledgeable of every single thing we observed!
Informative I always thought of the Field Museum as boring, but now (maybe because I'm older), I think of it as kind of interesting. They are most famous for "Sue" the biggest T-Rex that was found only a few years ago. This museum is for someone interested in areas of Biolog7 such as fossils, dinasaurs, mummies, the extinction of animals. It can be quite fun. $12 for adults and $7 for children. Free wheel chairs. parking. Give this place a try!
Sue the Dinosaur and so Much More A world class museum with fantastic exhibits, this museum has something for everyone in the family. With exhibits containing beautiful jewels, to Sue, the T-Rex, to ancient mummies and pyramids, nobody will get bored here. There is quite a lot of ground to cover, so expect a lot of walking.
One day is not enough This must be one of the most fasinating museum I've ever gone to. The first object that strikes me was the biggest complete skeleton of a dinosaur name Sue. And the archiologist who discovered her was signing her book about this discovery. Many exhibition was very visual appealing. They make you feel like you are actually in the period of that exhibition, for example, the accient Egypt. I spend one afternoon here but haven't have a chance to see everything here, I will come back here soon to see the res... read more
The BEST Museum in Chicago The Field Museum: A Geek's Paradise! I am a geek and I can tell you straight off, there is no better way to spend a day in Chicago than at the Field Museum. There is something for everyone here: dinosaur fossils, ancient civilizations, an extensive [and regretfully macabre] collection of stuffed animal specimens - including the lions that inspired the film 'The Ghost and the Darkness'. You could spend hours getting lost among the artifacts and fossils; the Egyptian exhibit alone, which includes a r... read more
A Must See If you're visiting Chicago, this Museum is a must see. It has all different exhibits that you can spend the entire day. Their most famous exhibit is their T-Rex named Sue. Other exhibits include Africa, Birds and prehistoric animals and mammals. They also have temporary exhibits such as dinosaurs and previously...mummys. There is underground parking and entrance fee is minimal. This is a great place for children to learn History at a grand setting.
Unique Collection! Very cool fossils and exciting traveling exhibits. We went on free day but the crown was still manageble. Great empoyess make the fossils doulbling interesting. Perhaps not a full day trip though.
Great Museum The Field Museum is a wonderful museum with a variety of exhibits, but is best known for Sue, the resident T-Rex. The museum can be extremely busy on the weekends, which may create lines for some of the more popular exhibits. Additionally, the size of the museum can be a little overwhelming. Its definately a place that the kids will enjoy, but be sure to plan on spending the majority of a day here.
Field Museum has a 4.5 star rating with 31 reviews.
Field Museum is open now. It will close at 5:00 p.m.
