Fiddler's Crab House

3.9

About this business

If you came to Savannah looking for seafood, look no further. Fiddler's stands as perhaps River Street's most beloved source of the whole gamut of undersea delights. Crab cakes and steamed crab legs, of course, are the house specialty, but the menu also offers live lobster, shrimp and shellfish harvested from regional waters and a nice selection of more land-friendly fare. A respectable and reasonably-priced wine list complements the menu, and a full bar service is available in both the lounge area and restaurant proper.

Our food was delicious and fresh and the waiter was fantastic and very attentive. They even gave us a veteran's discount when my husband paid with our USAA card!

Delicious food and drinks!! Oysters are a must. Margaritas are great. Expensive but totally worth it. Just be ready to pay some money. We will be back!

Had lunch here yesterday while my husband and I were in town for our 25th wedding anniversary. Checked out their menu, liked the price range, so we checked it out. Sat on the 2nd floor balcony overlooking the river and it was so nice. Got the crab dip and split the low boil. Crab dip was excellent!! Low boil was ok. Not enough to share and it could've used more seasoning. That's the only reason I'm not rating a 5. Would definitely eat here again and try some other dishes!

Beer was hot, oysters were full of shell chips and not cut from the shell ($20 per dz) ribeye was cooked right but a very cheap cut to cost $28. Grilled shrimp was way over cooked and seemed to be previously frozen. Wife's pasta was cold. Server was very nice and friendly however he obviously had to many tables for his abilities. One of his tables walked out. For me and my wife it was $104 without a tip. Definitely not worth the money. We had much better food at sorry Charlie's for less $$
