I love this store and I am hooked on weaving because of Fibre Space. The staff is beyond helpful and patient, they give you all the time in the world to assist you in finding the perfect yarn for your project. If you are looking for gorgeous, specialty yarns this is the place to go.
If you are looking for specific pattern books or patterns, don't bother going here. As an out of town visitor to Alexandria, I was excited to visit this shop, but when i asked about patterns, the sales clerk took me to the iPad at the front desk and logged into Ravelry for me to look for patterns. I can do this at my leisure. I wanted to see what they have for children's patterns; you know, to see, touch, read, view, etc. I was very disappointed and ended up leaving the store. Most likely I won't return.

Really nice, clean, well-organized store with many cool, unusual items. I'm traveling from Santa Cruz, CA and always look for local flavor. This shop did not disappoint with local, exclusive yarns and many little knit-knacks, buttons, bags and tees (with generous sizes �) to choose from. Friendly service, and I could hear the laughter roaring from the class above. A definite stop for fiber lovers!

OMG! I just discovered my new favorite place - Fibre Space! I felt like a kid in a candy shop. My head was turning so quickly from one item of fingering weight yarn to worsted to dk to cashmere that I may have to go to the doctor to get my whiplash checked out! And then there is the knitting needle wall. So many choices. In other words, this place is awesome! I can’t wait to go back to buy so many things for all my new project and my WIPs.
I felt like a kid in a candy/crocheting paradise! Saw your PBS doc and knew I had to come by! 🥰🧶
