My family and I go all the time with lots of trips all by myself. Friendly staff full of smiles. We absolutely love Ferris Acres. Jem of Newtown, CT. I post all the time on my FB page and when my family from Florida came to visit that was at the top of the list to visit. They loved it!! Family owned which I love. Either take it to go for the car ride home or sit at one of the many picnic tables and enjoy the view. Yes you'll see the cows many of them. A perfect ending or beginning of the day.
Everything about Ferris Acres Creamery is fantastic. The ice cream is delicious, I've tried many flavors and have never been disappointed. There is usually a line, and it's well worth the wait each and every time! When you get to the window you will be greeted with a smile and a kind word! If you have the chance to go, do it, don't hesitate, don't get turned off by the line.. after all, if that many people are willing to wait in line then it must really be THAT good! It is!!

The ice cream was very fresh and a wonderful consistency, so creamy and delicious.The service was speedy, considering how many people were waiting. Can't wait to go back.
