Ferrara claims to be America's first espresso bar, and whether it is or it is not, patrons can agree that it has been around for a long time. And despite whether they are first, second or third, the quality and quantity of their desserts and espresso merit acclaim. Since 1892, this pastry shop has been serving patrons delicious dolci and even amidst the hustle and bustle of modernity outside, this place still transports you to another era while inside.

Best canoli in town. Friendly staff and always fresh
Incredible, Julio was awesome come visit him, my family and I enjoyed everything
Ferrara's Bakery is absolutely the best Italian pastry shop in NYC. Always exciting to go there and eat the fresh, authentic Italian delights and gelato! Superb!!!!
Best cannoli ! Love this place!
Other establishments can only dream of creating an environment so charming or drinks and treats so delectable! The staff was AMAZING and George was the best waiter ever. Ferrera's is definitely on my "must do" NYC list if I ever make it back the city.
My new all-time favorite place for coffee and Italian treats, in NYC, not to mention outstanding breakfast! Very certeous staff who spoil you with graceiousness. (George), which when you are a long way from home is so welcoming. Truly a hidden gem in an old neighborhood.
AMAZING! Our very first visit. Food, service and atmosphere were fantastic! We were honored to meet Miss Adeline. She was lovely and so gracious. Will definitely return!
Authentic in every facet; Food, service and atmosphere. Pastries are fresh and delicious and gelato is rich and boldly flavorful. For a quintissential Little Italy experience, have your chicken marsala on Mulberry Street, but skip dessert and indulge youself at Ferrara on Grand. You will not be disappointed.
Rude staff and manager at bakery counter. Cashier asked me which order was mine. I told her which one. After she already swiped my card, she realized she did the wrong order. When I told her it was wrong, she said why would you do that as if it was my fault. Her manager then came over and asked me why I didn't stop her beforehand and I responded I didn't know the exact prices of the bakery. They were rude and made it seem like it was my fault. Probably won't come back.
