We tried Fern for the first time yesterday for brunch. We’ve been wanting to make it out for quite some time after hearing many great things. All of the staff was very friendly and our order came out promptly. We tried cinnamon rolls, seitan chicken and grits, and the biscuits and gravy. Everything was phenomenal and portion sizes were perfect. Even the coffee was amazing to us! My boyfriend and I both agree that it was some of the best food we’ve ever had. We will be returning soon!
In town and visited today. Ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich. Sandwich was the size of a hamburger...very dry due to minimal sauce and cheese...what little sauce it had was flavorless. Fingerling potatoes...the potatoes were cut so inconsistently that there were very thin slices and very thick slices which resulted in inconsistent cooking...the thick slices were undercooked...and the amount of salt made them inedible. I love it. Had the Pork Sirloin and it was so good. I didn't know it wasn't meat until i was done. Can't wait to go back.
We had a wonderful time at the Lenny Boy / Fern beer dinner last night. Both the food and paired beers and kombucha were delicious. Chef Matt’s chowder was incredible! Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone whether vegan or not!
We went last night with a reservation for four. We were on time and so was the restaurant. The buffalo cauliflower is to die for! As is the Brussels sprouts with coconut! Also enjoyed 5e squash filets and the leek potato soup. Our server was attentive. We were very satisfied and will be back!
