One of the best doctors I met during the past 20 years. Very competent, takes his time to talk and to explain. On a personal level, very polite and friendly. I have great respect for this doctor. However, what is rarely mentioned, his bills (I do not have insurance) are among the lowest I ever received. A sign that this is a highly ethical doctor who understands the needs of his patients. No sign of greed. His office is frequently filled with patients waiting, a sign that he is also a popular doctor.
I’m a fairly new patient, but I’ll be looking for a new cardiologist soon because this has been the most unresponsive doctor’s office I’ve ever dealt with. I need a medication that my insurance won’t cover, and it’s extremely expensive out of pocket. Dr. Kohan submitted an appeal months ago, and while I understand these things take time, I’ve had to keep following up myself because no one from the office ever reached out with an update.
