Fenton's has been an Oakland institution for over 100 years, serving up homemade ice cream and deluxe toppings, along with all your classic American diner favorites. You can always get a juicy burger with fries, or cranberry turkey sandwich, but the real draw are the sweets. Fenton's serves up everything from your basic flavored ice cream cone to a super-deluxe sundae or an incredible milkshake. Besides high quality ice cream, the toppings are a huge favorite here, especially the marshmallow sauce.

Great place, great service! Glad I don’t live anywhere near here.
Surprised Facebook suggested i write a review of this place. Uh, not good. We were there on a Friday at 1:30, there was a table big enough for our party open when we got there but we still had to wait 5+ minutes to be seated. We had seven kids with us and five adults. Inevitably a member of the staff suggested parking a stroller away from our table despite there being a baby asleep in it. This place is the bomb!!!! Excellent ice cream great food!
We have been going for over 20 years with a little bit of a break when they were closed for reconstruction after a fire. Great place to bring family and friends especially foreigners because they get amazed by the ice cream creations and specials. This is a “must-do” when someone comes to the East Bay. Ice cream is good but when it’s busy, it’s BUSY! So, quality might somewhat suffer. Grill food is okay so we don’t go for food usually; we go for the ice cream.

Great family atmosphere. Food is great and ice cream selection fantastic.
There is nothing else like the atmosphere at Fentons. It is usually crowded, noisy, but the staff are always helpful. I’ve never found ice cream sundaes I liked as much anywhere else. When friends and family come from out of town, we bring them to Fentons
The one my favorite ice cream store and the food is good and never tried to check it out ����
