They rented me a kayak with a crack in the bottom that proceeded to fill with water and then dumped me in the middle of the lake. Wouldn’t come to rescue me because they were putting a boat in the water for someone else. Then they wanted to charge me for the rental because they “didn’t know it damaged”. It was so full of water it took 2 people to lift it out of the water onto the dock. Thanks to the 2 couples who came to the rescue. We rented kayaks. One worked. One didn’t respond to paddling. An hour in it became evident something was wrong. The back end was sinking. The kayak listed badly to one side. We tried to get back the the marina, but the back end was under water and it capsized. Thankfully other kayakers helped us. They called the marina, but 20 min. Later, still no help. Labor Day...brought 3 kayaks to float around on and three children so they could play in the water. DENIED!!!!! Can't swim in their water. $10 per kayak and must port out at their marina a mile up the road from our park site. Ruined Labor Day weekend for the kids. So....you can look at their water but you can't touch it. Ridiculous.
Quaint - peaceful - really unique.
Had a wonderful time kayaking today with a friend at Fellows. Pam and Jake were SUPER friendly and very helpful. We will return again very soon.
Restricted in the right ways ,well kept ,great people and fat fish.
