Interesting, unusual and downright delicious dishes from the provinces of northern Italy are served at this restaurant, along with some of the most sought after wines of Europe and America. There is also excellent service and charming decor, including terra cotta floors that will remind you of an Italian home. Owned by famed chef and restaurateur Lydia Bastianich, it would be hard to find an uninteresting dish here. Pastas such as the homemade ravioli and risotto with porcini mushrooms are especially noteworthy.

Mamma mia!!! – Felidia was everything we expected. The food was sophisticated, yet genuine. The service impeccable, yet subtle and the ambience elegant, yet comfortable. There is just the perfect wait the lively bar, as any bar in a good NYC restaurant should be. Enough time for a leisurely drink and then on to a feast, that left us satisfied - body and soul.
Eh... – I remembered liking this place so much 2 years ago and was rather disappointed by a recent visit. Yes, the service is still gracious and the cheesesticks are good. The pasta, though, wasn't even close to the stuff I make at home in terms of harmony, flavor and originality. My tagliatelle was too tough to complement the stewed veal. Instead of being able to have all the flavors blend and melt in my mouth, the pasta stood out and didn't pick up the flavor of its sauce in the least. Ah well. I suspect they might have ch... read more
Why Go To Italy? – Last night my husband and I celebrated making the last payment of our mortgage at Felidia. I am obsessed with stuffed zucchini flowers- and they had the best I've ever eaten. Romans must be boarding planes now to get them. The liver and onions were positively succulent. They were even great heated up in the microwave today. The pear ravioli practically produced a scene from When Harry met Sally. We've been to Italy 11 times, and We actually just go there to eat- maybe we can just go to Felidia for the summ... read more
Truly Amazing dining experience – My boyfriend surprised me last night by taking me to Felidia for my birthday. I was hesitant having recently read the negative reviews. I was blown away by: the fact that Lidia checked my coat!; the staff was sooooo friendly and knowledgable; the food was amazing; and it was an unforgettable night. Go with the waiters recommendations when possible - the calamari app was the best seafood dish I've ever had; the homemade pasta with pairs and pecorino also amazing! The wine list was very overwh... read more
