quality control..............NOT like the "old-dayz"
RecommendedGreat. They did a case for me a while back and I'm now sending 914 heads and crank out.
Have to say thanks to the crew at RIMCO for getting my case machined so quickly. Dropped in on Monday morning with no advance phone call. I was in SoCal for the VW Classic which is a five hour drive for me. Asked if they could open up my case for 94's by the end of Tuesday. They didn't make any promises but would give it a try. Got a call Tue morning at 9:30 that my case was ready! Not only quick but the machining looked beautiful! Nice little radius cuts to soften up the sharp edges. Was not expecting the detail. Took my 36 hp motor to be rebuilt. They said a week it took 5 weeks. When i got it back they put the wrong heads on it. So i had to take it back when it was fixed had to go get it. Long story short put it in the bug at 200 miles it was leaking oil. REALLY FROM RIM CO. 1200 miles the motor broke they will not stand behind it. PLEASE ANYONE DONT GO HERE ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE.
I would have to rate rimco very low as far as customer satisfaction. I sent my vw heads in for a three angle competition valve job and i get back a two angle, a 60 degree and a 45 degree, no 30 degree. I pay them 35 dollars to inspect my vw case and do what needs to be done. I get it back and try to put the cylinders on and find that it should have been decked. I send the case back at my expense, no recompense. Its kind of sad because the old rimco would have caught this.....
