Our first time to visit ND we will go back. The food was delicious, the staff that took our orders were great and the guy that kept us happy was terrific. He gave us the best table service I can remember in a long time ! Wish I had remembered his name. He had made chocolate chip cookies that morning and gave one to my two greatgrandsons to have after they ate their food, which they did. He was very kind and did such a good job. I recommend this place if you are new to the area or going through Augusta ! I give it a 10 !
Fat man’s barbecue We worked with Devin, for our employee Thanksgiving dinner, and everything was outstanding. They provided two deep-fried turkeys, two smoked turkeys, and all the sides — everything was spot on, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The price was very reasonable, and Devon was upfront, honest, and punctual throughout the entire process. An outstanding person to work with. We’ll definitely be back to do more business In the future.
The staff is great, especially Steadman the host. He makes you feel so welcome. I ordered the two piece white with mac and cheese and collards, online. I picked up my food and went to the car, checked the plate the chicken was burned. I returned the plate and they gladly made it over. I got the fresh plate and returned to work, opened the plate and the wing was still burned. The chicken tastes like it's fried in very old oil. The service was good, but the food was not. I ordered the hamburger steak, rice and gravy and squash casserole. It was all disappointing. The food was cold and tasteless. Fat Man's used to have a great reputation for a quaint place to indulge in good food. Sadly, it has devolved into what we had today.😪
An enchanting "hole in the wall!" Fat Man's is a treasure. Simple, to the point, and beyond delicious; walk in and be transported to a simpler time when food was food, and atmosphere wasn't filled with gadgetry! Wonderful, southern-style eclectic food served with a smile and all heart!
