The Legend begins with beer—Busch beer to be exact. But this was just the beginning…In 1921 Anheuser Busch decided to open a drinking establishment in the picturesque river town of Alton, Illinois. A yellow brick building known as Bon-Air, was constructed right on the corner of three streets, 4th, Pearl and Broadway. RecommendedI love the patio area and excellent service
Went there last Saturday (11/7), don’t go often maybe 2x a year. So beer was cold, popcorn good and salty - ordered our burgers... Not a bad wait, but much to my dismay I noticed person putting our burger in paper tray was NOT WEARING GLOVES! Isn’t it a normal thing for people handling food to wear gloves - especially with COVID being a real thing?? Tossed burgers in trash and exited - it’s ridiculous that health of their patrons isn’t more of a priority!
The increased prices are one thing but we went anyway only to find no chairs inside now. There are chairs on patio but Music so loud you can’t have a conversation. No thank you - we left -
