The Legend begins with beer—Busch beer to be exact. But this was just the beginning…In 1921 Anheuser Busch decided to open a drinking establishment in the picturesque river town of Alton, Illinois. Beware of the new food prices! My wife and I love fast Eddies and come often.. We won’t be coming back for a while once we discovered they have almost tripled the food prices. The menu no longer even has prices posted either. Still a great place with great food, but not worth the drive when you discover this..
They keep deleting reviews they do not like. The staff has been called out for their racist actions. The one time I have been here was not a positive experience and apparently their food prices have skyrocketed as well.
I enjoyed the time with my son on his 21st birthday and the gentleman who carded him was a very courteous guy.
We used to Love Fast Eddies. I have a friend visiting and we told her all about this place having the cheapest food around. WOW! We’re we in for a surprise. We always order an assortment of items and share, and this time was no different. We added 3 additional items this time...I figured maybe about $30-$35 since it’s normally about $23 but when the cashier told me $68 My mouth about dropped. Hi Trish, Due to the pandemic and food market prices, we did have to raise our prices. We hope this is just temporary and they will eventually be able to come down.
