BUYER BEWARE! We hired Michelle to remodel our kitchen. She said it would take 6 weeks, in actuality it has taken us almost 5 months to get everything finished. Michelle applied pressure in the beginning for us to make up our minds on whether we were going to start the project or not. I consulted Fashion House Interior Design to help redesign my kitchen and living room, which needed a serious update. Michelle Ortiz was an immense help with the complete makeover. I was especially grateful for the detail and care that she put in to making sure everything fit perfectly. Michelle helped my husband and I fine tune some design elements to a master bathroom remodel. Her expertise and knowledge was exactly what we needed. Since we were in the midst of the remodel, we needed someone who could meet with us rather quickly and she was able to meet with us within 2 days of contacting her. I am looking forward to working with her on several other home projects in the coming year.

Contracted to remodel our second bath. The tile work was very poor quality but the worst part was the shower pan was installed 3/4 out of level and has large gaps among the tile work around the base of the shower. It is impossible to install the shower door in this condition and the entire job has to be redone. Throughout this ordeal she has refused to answer emails, phone calls, and requests to come to our house to inspect the work when he had our initial complaints. Home Theatre Project was started in March 2014 and to date (February 2016) it remains unfinished. Michelle Dunbar took off promising to return with electrical packs and wiring to make our 4 theatre chairs functional and I am still waiting. Does not answer phone calls, emails or letters. BTW, the address she has listed on this website is not her address. She has not lived there for over 3 years. Be wary of someone who uses an old address where they don't live. Says something. She used that address on the invoice she wrote up.... read more

The project was a wonderful experience from beginning to end, the designer handled everything from contractors to final decoration. I was nervous at first, I'd never hired a designer before, now that it's done I couldn't be happier.
