Delicious food to choose from. Prices are very reasonable and service is quick but definitely not a drop in and eat quick establishment. Would recommend anyone to this restaraunt
Best ribs I've found Famous Dave's may be out of business in Lexington, KY but it's alive and well in Louisville and Florence, KY. I've been to both locations and was pleased with the food and service everytime. My favorite to order is the X-Large beef ribs - naked! - and dip each rib in the Devil's Spit sauce. I've even stopped in the carryout section and ordered ala carte of just ribs to take home. It's my favorite bbq place since Red, Hot and Blue went out of business.
Wow! Don't plan anything exerting after you eat! So much food! And good food! I went with my friend the other day and had their ribs, incredible! Messy, but incredible. Our server was nice and prompt. They have a very rustic feel (paper towels on the table still on the roll), so perhaps more of a man place. I would certainly eat there again and bring friends! PROS: Great Food, Great Amounts, Nice People CONS: A Bit Pricey
Stuff your face I love Famous Daves! They have some of the best BBQ in town. Better than Mark's. Haha. Their ribs are fabulous and they give you so much food you don't know what to do. The BBQ sauce is probably the best part. They have a selection of about 5 sauces. You can even buy a bottle if you really enjoy it. The environment is very nice, loud, but friendly. This is my boyfriends favourite place, and they have a pretty good selection of food as well. Great prices. Highly recommended.
Great BBQ Famous Dave's BBQ is a great place to take the whole family. Great food and value. The ribs are excellant!! The salads are great too. Great experience, I highly recommend them!
Doesn't live up to the hype Kept hearing such great things about this place that I couldn't wait for it to be open. Sadly; upon trying the food I found the staff to be poorly trained and the food to be fair at best. Not one of the ten people in our party was impressed by the food. PROS: great bar area CONS: food not very good
good, but not good enough Kept hearing how good Famous Daves was so we headed there for dinner. Service was a little slow, but great once it came. Both the Brisket and Ribs (naked) were much dryer than we are used to coming from Texas, but flavor was acceptable. The rest of the sides were quite good !!!! Would we return, maybe to try it again to be sure it wasn't an "off day" for the ribs and brisket. PROS: Sides and decor were good. CONS: Meat was too dry.
Not the Best BBQ Ribs I was told they had the best BBQ ribs in town. My family and I decided to try it and weren't all that impressed with it. I wouldn't be suprised if they go out of business. The food server was very slow and the prices were a little high for the quality of food.
family dining Famous Dave's is a medium priced, family style barbeque restaurant. The atmophere is backwoodsy, and it is a fun place to eat. You are served your food on a plastic tray, and your napkin is a roll of paper towel in the middle of the table. The food at Famous Dave's is famous for being excellent.
