Definitely a Famous Food Experience I was passing though the city recently on a cold damp afternoon and saw Famous Dave's (well, actually smelled the smoke) and had to pull over. It was pretty busy for mid-afternoon, but the food and service were excellent. Actually met the owner "David" who stopped by my table to see how I was enjoying my meal! Nice guy, great staff & amazing BBQ.
Tasty but NEVER hot enough!! I've been to Famous Daves a number of times and I keep coming back because the ribs are so delicious...BUT...my appetite for luke warm or barely luke warm ribs is waning. EVERY time I go, the ribs are not hot enough. I thought the first time was just an abberration but it happens every time. I would love someone to explain to me why this is the case. I love this place I love this place. Their variety of bbq sauce is excellent. Good variety of food and a very nice atmosphere. Servers are always on top of their game.
Great BBQ I go to this restaurance every once in a while and I love it. I know its a big chain restaurant but the food is great, the atmosphere is even better and its just a great experience and its in the Chandler Fashion Center so its close to a movie theater and good shopping. It is a little pricey though PROS: CONS: Pricey
koaldog Had lunch at Famous Dave's yesterday. Very disappointing. My first Famous Dave's was in Sioux City, IA. I was there 4 days and ate at FD 3 times. Wonderful. Next Kalispell, MT. Wonderful. Yesterday, Everett, WA. Won't go back. Service was very slow and they were not crowded. Ordered the full slab "naked" (without sauce), came with sauce on the ribs. Sent it back. Great place for BBQ sauce lovers! We like BBQ and my husband lovvvees BBQ sauce. Dave's has a BBQ sauce for everyone from mild to spicy. The brisket is probably his favorite, my dad digs the wings and ribs, I love the catfish fingers! HUGE portions, great souther sides, pig decor and deasant service. The price is right!
Fun and great food Our familiy of four went there the other day and had a great time with awesome food. Highly recommend you call ahead, you can do this 30 minutes before you arrive. Once there we waited maybe 5 minutes for our table. The server was very knowledable and friendly. The atmosphere there is very upbeat with lots to read on the walls while you wait on your order. BarBQue The Ribs, pulled pork, sauce, corn bread, sides are great. You want to use Famous Dave's for family gatherings, the Fam will love you for that. Place your order, pick up and enjoy a feast it is as easy as that.
No More Baby Backs They've changed the menu. No baby back ribs anymore! In fact, a lot of the BBQ dishes have been eliminated. The full-sized ribs are undercooked, tough and fatty.
