RecommendedHaving lived in Ventura for over 30 years & for as long as I can remember, I've been going to Family Vision for eye exams & glasses. My optometrist is Dr. Gary Lax; while I've had occasion to visit other optometrists, I find Dr. Lax is the best & most thorough. My favorite technician is Rose -- she goes out of her way to be professional, is very precise & thorough in her service. Pearl is an excellent optician & also very professional. My favorite receptionists is Ashley -- they are all excellent!

They mess up on your insurance every time not going again
Dr. Strickland has done an awesome job in the very difficult task of following his predecessor, Dr. Sills, at Family Vision where my family and I have gone for 20 years. I was skeptical at first, then after going thru an appointment with my somewhat complicated eye issues, he was not only a Genius at his medical ability, but had a charismatic quality like I've never seen. I know we are in fantastic hands with Dr. Strickland! Thank you, Tina Meade
Great staff. Dr. Strickland has a sense of humor, but still waiting on my OPTO photos that was promised in an hour. That was Friday. It is now Saturday and still no email of the eye photos.
Very friendly, helpful staff and doctors. Clean well kept faculty. Very accommodating with appointments. Also thank you for helping out yesterday. We were on the way to LA for a concert for my 11 year old's birthday, and she realized she forgot her contacts. You were great to quickly fax her prescription to a local optometrist to where we were on the 101 so that we made the show without a hitch and she was able to see.
I have been using the Family Vision Center for a long time. Their office staff is very professional and courteous. The doctors and staff take the time to explain every aspect of the exams and their results. Options for glasses/contacts are thoroughly explained and not rushed in any manner.
Family Vision is just as it is titled Family the service is awesome!!! We appreciate the Doctors and Staff�
