I don’t ever write reviews but I walked out of the clinic this morning with my blood boiling. I saw DR max Wong for my 9 month old daughter. In what I thought would be a quick visit to say i want to hand in my sample to pathology can you please give me a new referral and I’ll be on my way…. But no! So I walked in and explained I had previously had seen another doctor where we were tested and diagnosed for a UTI and given antibiotics but she seemed resistant to the antibiotics and her UTI has come back. My partner saw Dr. Wai Wai Khin and the experience was terrible. From the start she seemed more interested in rushing her out the door than actually helping. I was there with my son and witnessed the whole thing. My partner explained she had severe pain running from her neck down to a tingling sensation in her fingers. Dr. Wai Wai Khin asked if there had been any trauma. We said no—she simply woke up like this and it hadn’t improved after four days. One appointment kept me waiting over 50 minutes after my appointment was due - no explanation or apologies from the doctor or staff. Additionally, went back for an unrelated matter and was firstly judged for having the My Health Record on private (this is discrimatory) and then when I asked Dr Win for a scan due to my lower back pain, he shrugged me off and said that all women have back pain. I am not sure if I want to write this review as this practice is simply one of the best I have ever dealt with in 18 years of being on the Gold Coast, and I don't want them to get even more busy. From the ease of booking , to the absolutely wonderful, empathetic, understanding and professional practice management staff. 90% of practice managers on the Gold Coast, could take training from this team.
