RecommendedI was admitted for a AAA repair and just got home. The staff from the admit staff the food runners and my nurse Kim are outstanding.
Horrible care, zero communication.
We met the Gestapo nurse at the ER entry. Unfriendly. Uninterested to help. We walked back out and headed to amazing Mayo ER experience. Like hell and heaven. Fairview was a taste of hell.
I went their E.R. earlier this week. I had (nonvirus) breathing problems. They were not only professional and knowledgeable, but even with their long hours... empathetic.
Recently, I had the unfortunate opportunity (in the era of Covid-19) to go to ER for a sudden abdominal emergency. WITHOUT EXCEPTION, from staff in ER to surgeon (yes, needed emergency surgery) to pre-op, sonographer, CT tech, phlebotomists, post-op care, 3rd floor Surgical Specialists in-patient staff to housekeeping...bar none!!.... they were all amazing!!! The care is top notch. The hospital itself is nicely appointed and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. However, while you're here for the medical aspect of a hospital and that is number one, the cafeteria is one of the worst I have ever seen. Dinner food selection was burgers, chicken pitas, room temperature pizza or fries. The deli counter was closed. It isn't any better at lunch time.
